Someone on StackOverflow asked about Web 2.0 color combinations. Some people have collected the various colors and put them into spread sheets and JPGs. It’s well established that I have an odd obsession with taking pretty looking rectangles and making big grids out of them, so one thing lead to another and now I have a grid of colors and the companies who brought them to us. So, now when...
started playing around with the stackoverflow beta. This is going to be amazing if it doesn’t get overloaded with noise when it goes public!
BTW, Temple is rere. “Hey! Lots of students are moving in. Let’s make half the streets a no-stopping zone.” Way to help the situation, guys.
Yesterdays Yay: Paid. Today’s Yay: Paying Temple. Tuesday’s Yay: Re-registering for classes?
MacDade mall closed? When did that happen?
Vista, when I type z:\ into the start menu, I want z:, not “Remote Zoom In”. Your autocomplete is slow and kinda dumb. Happens every day!
made splash page for client that mashups wordpress and blip.tv. fugly iframe used, but hey! semi self-hosted blog + vblog on the cheap!
I wonder if Twitter killed blogging.
August has officially become my “Help Other People Move” month. Gross.
Guitar hero’d with @amandabear, our third fourth roommate.
Hi. It’s 2008. IM is 12+ years old. Why do I have 5+ IM accounts that can’t talk to each other? I thought Jabber was supposed to fix this.
OH NO. The cardboard shades are falling!
Y’know. This is the third time this week I’ve thought “I really need to vacuum” and then looked at the clock to realize it’s after 9PM.
adding everyblock rss for home, work, and middle of TU. Hopefully increased exposure to local crime reports won’t make me feel too unsafe.
A year later or so, still dislike of Rails’ resources. Is merb is better documented nowadays? At least Passenger+Rack+Dreamhost works!
my wallpaper makes me a bit more happy than it should: http://tinyurl.com/6crawv
http://desktopgaming.com/ is amazing. <3
truecolorstest.com says I’m green with a hint of blue. Not sure what exactly that means. Pretty sure colors don’t have personality traits.
“Man, I’m gonna piss! [pause] Hey, don’t look at me! You don’t look at a man who’s pissing!” - Guy behind hedge 1 block from work. wtf?
Not closing your gas cap is like the vehicular equivalent to not zipping your fly. What a faux pas.
wtf? almost my entire commute in was under construction.
yay haircut. now my head doesn’t look like an exploding muffin. :D PS. Why does my Twitter replies tab go to a 404?
Now that rehearsals are over for this summer, I’m going back to commuting via mass transit next week. This means I have time each day to read and avoid urine puddles instead of listening to trashy Jersey radio and cursing at idiot suburban drivers commuting into the city. My brain feel simultaneously shriveled from lack of good literature and somewhat burned out on the few nonfiction...
The Caberance Troupe is Weds @ 7:30 PM. It’s fantastic, so you should come!
Previously I said that the Caberance Troupe will be Weds @ 7PM. FALSE. It was moved at some point to Weds @ 7:30PM. You should still come. It’s fantastic. :D
just realized ruby has the same % operator for strings that python has. much prettier than sprintf!
My Favorite Year is dead. Long live Caberance Troupe. Come. Weds @ 7PM.
Step Brothers was an awful movie, as expected.
Here’s to hoping my dumb knee is better by tomorrow. Speaking of which, come see My Favorite Year, Friday and Saturday @ 7:30.
It’s time to replace my stock Twitter/Facebook “Come to MFY” message with a stock “Come to Director’s Workshop/OneActs”. Tues/Weds @ 7:30PM.
I was writing some trivial yet repetitive error-handling code when it occurred to me it would be cool if ruby had a feature to define a method that didn’t increase the call-stack, such that you could have a new scope but could also return or terminate directly from the calling function. Sort of like the following pseudo-code… class A attr_accessor :check_errors def initialize...
